Morocco - August 10, 2026 - WATT.MA has launched its Charge Point Management System (CPMS) for Morocco, with the platform now live and onboarding customers and charging partners.
Designed for Charge Point Operators, site owners and fleet managers, WATT.MA enables users to operate, manage and monetize EV charging infrastructure through its proprietary software platform. Built around the OCPP 1.6J open standard, it supports compatible charging hardware without locking operators into a closed hardware ecosystem and integrates local payment rails for the Moroccan market.
WATT.MA operates a platform-first model built on proprietary technology, SaaS fees and revenue-sharing with charging partners.
GreenUp Morocco and UM6P U-Founders
WATT.MA was selected for GreenUp Morocco, an incubation initiative launched by Morocco’s Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development and RES4Africa Foundation, in partnership with Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and with contributions from the Enel Foundation.
RES4Africa’s 2025 Annual Report names Watt.ma among the startups selected for the program.
Through GreenUp Morocco and the UM6P U-Founders environment, WATT.MA refined its commercial model and strengthened its understanding of Morocco’s climate-tech, regulatory and energy ecosystem.
Prince Marfo led WATT.MA’s participation in GreenUp Morocco, representing the platform throughout the incubation process.
African Youth Climate Hub
Separately, WATT.MA participated in the fourth edition of the African Youth Climate Hub (AYCH), an initiative of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection supporting youth-led climate solutions across Africa.
WATT.MA was the only Moroccan startup participating in its AYCH cohort.
The program helped WATT.MA further refine its market strategy and expand its relationships across the African climate-tech ecosystem.
At the AYCH Demo Day on July 10, 2026, Nizar El Ghanbaz represented WATT.MA during the platform’s pitch.
Scaling in Morocco
As WATT.MA expands commercially, it continues to engage across Morocco’s energy and climate ecosystem, including with the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection, AMEE, IRESEN, ONEE and Masen, around research, regulation, infrastructure and the broader scaling of EV charging in Morocco.
